Did she really Know? That her leaving would leave everyone heartbroken?
Did she really Know?
Did she really know how loved she was?
Did, She, Really, Know?
Did she really Know? That her leaving would make so many question the point of going on
Did she really Know? Did she really Know? Did she?
Did she really Know? She was the source and anchor to so many
Did she really Know? She inspired generations
Did, she really Know? Did she?
Did she really Know? She helped others to see Christ and showed the Lords Love to those who never knew love
Did she really Know? She heeled the child inside by supporting so many others
Did she really Know? That when she gave, food, a word and even the coat literally off of her back she gave so much more
Did she really Know? She was a mum to more than 1 son and 2 daughters
Did she really Know? She gave us hope by trusting us when no one did. She deeply changed our perception on education and our concept of life.
Did she really Know? Whenever we fall short, misbehaved or when everyone gave up on us. Mrs Boyd was always there by our side to keep us in check. She gave us many chances to better ourselves by being resilient. And reassured us that anything is possible if we put our mind to it.
Did she really Know? How much she meant to us all? We all look up to her, not only as our Headteacher, Our big sister, our mother, our grandmother our mentor, But mostly, our best friend.
Did she really Know? We’ve been waiting to see her car pull up at the driveway where she usually parks her car, But that parking bay remains empty. We went up stairs into the reception area, hoping to say “ Good morning Mrs Boyd!” But her office door still remains closed.
Did she really Know? Her silence kept everything at a standstill. There’s no sound of her favourite Gospel singer: Cece Winans playing in the background, To calm our anxiety down. No sound of the click clack of her High Heels And the shakes of her bangles strolling down the school corridors.
Did she really Know? That she was family to us, And we will miss her so much.
Did she really know? How much it felt like not to see her presence at The school assembly and Christmas dinner?
Did she really Know? That her smile had a glow and in Wize Up she gave us all somewhere we could call home.
Did she really Know? If it wasn't for Mrs Boyd, We wouldn’t have become the people that we are today, But we know for sure that she will be proud of us all.
Did she really Know? She was a pillar and trail blazer and people respected her even if they didnt say.
Did She really Know? She was a beacon of light. That shone a guiding light , showing us hope, the Joy of being together regardless of our background.
Did she really Know ? How much we love her and will miss her. Mrs Boyd was an Angel sent from heaven, You fulfilled your God’s given mission, Dear, May you rest in peace. We will always cherish your memories . And your legacy will live on … Glory be to Our Lord, Jesus Christ, Amen.
